November 2, 2005 - Our debut album "Ada" has been released and is now available from
Totalrust Music.
September 16, 2005 - Wraith of the Ropes are currently recording a new EP called "The Red Door" to be given away for FREE to anyone who orders the debut album "Ada" directly from the band. The EP includes three tracks and has a playing time of around 20 minutes. It features one brand new exclusive track called "Ada" and two cover songs including "The Figurehead" by The Cure and a cover/medley of Black Sabbath songs: "Cornucopia/Black Sabbath/Under the Sun".
July 4, 2005 -
Wraith of the Ropes have signed a deal with the new Israeli Doom label
TOTALRUST MUSIC. It is a one album deal for the release of the band's debut "ADA". The album is being mixed now and will be mastered in August/September. "Ada" will be released this October; 1000 copies on pro-pressed CD.
July 7, 2005 - We have chosen three sigils to represent our band. Wraith of the Ropes's main sigil was created by Mu of Nether. This symbol will henceforth appear on everything that WOTR (and all related bands/projects) releases.
Hearst's Sigil was created by D. Smolken of Wolfmangler. Scarecrow's Sigil was created by himself.
Many thanks to both Mu and D. Smolken for their hard work and great talent.
May 5, 2005 - Here is a preview of the album artwork for "Ada". The role of 'Ada' is being portrayed by a model named
Sicka©. This is an early version of the cover, the layout may be changed slightly before the CD's release.
March 19, 2005 - We have chosen a new band logo. It was designed by
Stijn Van Cauter, who also just happens to be the designer of this very website! Who knew...
Thanks for all of your hard work Stijn, it is very much appreciated. And also a big thanks to everone else who sent in logo's.

January 28th, 2005 - The Band section has been updated and redesigned. An image gallery has been added with many assorted pictures of the band.
We regret to announce that V. Rottinghouse has left the band. The split was amicable and we wish her the best of luck, wherever life may take her. Farewell.
Wraith of the Ropes will carry on as a two-piece as recording continues on ‘Ada’.
August 6th, 2004 - The Lyrics section has been updated with all the lyrics for the songs 'Final Reflection' and 'Lake of Decay'.
August 3rd, 2004 - A new mp3 sample from 'Ada' has been uploaded to all of our mp3 sites. The song is entitled 'Lake of Decay' and the mp3 is a seven minute extract of a very rough mix.

August 1st, 2004 - Work is nearly complete on the first Wraith of the Ropes album. Recording should be finished this month (August) and it will likely be released in September or October.
