Wraith of the ropes and their debut album "Ada" draw attention to themselves through their intrinsic qualities. The band associates itself solely with 'horror metal' and is therefore not to be confused with doom, although they carry similarities with it. As their biography states: this duo is influenced by horror soundtracks, industrial, doom and darkmetal, and so on. Indeed, WOTR stretches five tracks and a short intro over almost an hour... Painfully slow, the listener is dragged through this depressive and sickened musical landscape. Suicidal lyrics, eerie atmosphere and a mood that breathes death... wow, I'm at loss for words. I've heard 'depressive' music before (think Forgotten Tomb and funeral doom) but "Ada" takes the definition to new heights. Truly amazing...
